Lot’s of fun stuff & ideas to keep you busy & in touch with friends
We have created this Learning Hub to help those at home during the nationwide schools shutdown. ALL are welcome to use our resources and share them far and wide with friends and family. Currently, we are working in our woods with children of key workers as part of our St John’s School Forest School provision.
There are competitions, films, activities, word searches, spotter sheets and ideas for things to do when you get bored. Try and visit often, as we will be updating the website daily.

Activities to try out
Dump the books and screens, if you’re lucky enough to have a garden - get outside! It’s a well known fact that the fresh air is good for you. Listen to the birds and smell the air, use your ears and feel the wind. If you don’t have a garden ask an adult to open a window and spend time looking out together. Download some of our spotter sheets and go do a bug hunt with your adults – even if it’s just outside your front door
What have you been up to?
Make sure you let us know what OWL themed activities you have been up to. Either add it to our OWL notice board Padlet above or send us a note. We will add images and stories to our website so your friends can see what you’ve been doing

Those of you who come to OWL & Forest School will know that the kingfisher is Stephen’s favourite bird – and you already know that we see them on the Hogsmill River near St John’s.
We’re setting a challenge!
Create a colourful poster with a picture of a kingfisher on it, do some research and include some kingfisher facts on your poster too. The best one handed in at school at the end of the first week we return back will win a Den Kit. The poster will be displayed in schools, published in newsletters and will appear on our website. Good luck!
