LEARNING CHALLENGE: Design a treehouse

Updated: Apr 5

We want you you to create the best and most imaginative treehouse you can think of. Think about what you’d like to see in yours – How big will it be? How will you get up to it? How will you get out? Will you sleep in it? Will it have many levels? What is it made of? Will it be a shelter? Does it have a swimming pool? Let your imagination run wild and create something marvellous for us to see.

Follow the instructions below and have fun!

Do a little research and watch the video and look at the pictures

Have a think about what your treehouse will look like and what it will include. Draw your ideas and make notes on your drawing

Use your drawings to help you make a detailed model of your treehouse. Use found objects and take your time.

Take a picture of your finished model and upload it to the OWL noticeboard for all of us to see your great design

Images for ideas, remember to use your imagination and design something amazing!

Here’s some model making equipment we found lying around – remember you can use anything
