Kingfisher Winner

Updated: Dec 19, 2020

Cast your minds back to the first lockdown in March and our home learning Kingfisher Competition. We had lots of entries to choose from and they were all very strong designs and after various interruptions we're finally pleased to announce a winner.

Congratulations and well done to Victor in Class 3 at St John's School. Victor's design, which he created back when he was in Class 2, stood out with its bright colours and use of collage. He was inspired by an old card featuring a kingfisher from an Aunt and he used lots of different pieces of paper to make it; old calendars, pieces of tissue, and paper. There is no doubt that the colours evoke that of a Kingfisher as it whizzes down the Hogsmill!

Victor was the excited recipient of the Den Kit which we know he will put to good use when he's on his rambles and nature strolls.

Here he is opening his kit and celebrating his win on Octavia Hill with a mug of hot chocolate in his Den Kit mug.
